Bristol Harbourside Chaplaincy
In September 2023 Bristol Chaplaincy launched a new chaplaincy service, providing support to organisations and individuals that are located in and around the Bristol Harbourside. The harbourside chaplaincy team will be providing support for:
Harbourside Businesses
Tourist Attractions
Cafe’s and Restaurants
Harbourside Community Groups
Boat Owners and Residents
Visitors to the floating harbour
Our friendly chaplains will be out and about in the harbour areas every Friday, they are always up for a chat and love to stop off for a coffee and piece of cake whenever they are given the opportunity. Just say hello and they will absolutely have ‘Time to Talk’.
We are all human - it’s natural to sometimes feel the weight of life. It’s also natural to want to talk to someone. So, chaplaincy provides a safe environment and a compassionate ear where you can discuss anything. Whatever life brings, whether in work or personal life, we want to support and help you move forward.
One-to-one Support
Each week we have a limited number of bookable one-to-one appointments available for us to take the time to give you the dedicated support that you need.
We are available to meet in a number of different environments and locations to suit your preference. The options we have available are as follows:
A coffee shop located around the harbourside.
Our purpose built wide-beam barge that is moored in Temple Quay.
A meeting room at the harbour masters offices in Underfall Yard.
Or alternatively you could go for a walk around the harbourside with one of our chaplains and chat on the go.
Temple Quay Chaplaincy Hub
Every Tuesday and Wednesday between 11am and 2pm we have a ‘chaplaincy hub’ located on a wide-beam barge in Temple Quay. Feel free jut to drop in and use the space for a moment of calm. A chaplain will also be available to chat with you.
