Chaplaincy in Temple Quay
Located in the heart of Temple Quay, Bristol Chaplaincy is available to support both individuals and businesses. Throughout the week, our chaplains are available to listen to you and help you take positive steps forward.
Whether you wear a business suit or jeans, we take the time to talk to you as an individual and hear your unique situation.
We aim to listen, to help you find hope, and even provide a solution to the challenge, issue or change that you might be facing.
We are all human - it’s natural to sometimes feel the weight of life. It’s also natural to want to talk to someone. So, chaplaincy provides a safe environment and a compassionate ear where you can discuss anything. Whatever life brings, whether in work or personal life, we want to support and help you move forward.
Temple Quay Chaplaincy Hub
From time to time, we all need somewhere to go and escape the busyness of our day.
We are located on the prayer barge which provides the perfect space for you to spend a few quiet moments to gather your thoughts.
The barge is open every Tuesday and Wednesday between 11am and 2pm for quiet personal reflection. No need to book, just turn up and come on board. A chaplain is always available, if you need someone to talk to.
Your Invited
We would love to invite you to drop in and see our beautiful wide-beam barge on Tuesday 26th November, anytime between 10am and 3pm. You are welcome to pop in for just a few minutes or to stay a little longer by the log burner.
We would love to talk about how we can work together in partnership to support you and your employees.
One-to-one Listening Services
In addition to the chaplaincy drop-in times above, we also offer one-to-one listening appointments that you can book directly with us. These dedicated support sessions are normally available between 9am and 11am and 2pm and 3pm on a Tuesday and Wednesday in Temple Quay.
Life is full of ups and downs. However, there’s no getting away from the fact that it can be challenging.
With a one-to-one listening service, you can talk, and be heard without judgement. In each session, you can expect to receive active listening, along with understanding and kindness.
In a safe environment, you can discuss whatever life brings, whether in work or personal life. We are here for you and we want to support you and help you move forward. By speaking to someone independent, you can bring clarity to your personal situation, or your business challenges, whatever they may be.
All services are CONFIDENTIAL, FREE and ACCESSIBLE. To book a one-to-one listening appointment, please visit our bookings page here.
Christmas Carols on the Barge
If you work in the Redcliffe and Temple Quay area, you are invited to join us on the 10th December for just 1 hour between 5pm and 6pm for some Mince Pies, Mulled Wine and some Christmas Carols. There is no need to book, just turn up, everyone is welcome.
Our location
We are located on The Prayer Barge, a beautiful 60 foot wide beam barge, in an ideal location in the centre of Temple Quay. The Prayer Barge is moored by Victoria Bridge (the bendy bridge) at the bottom of the steps just outside the Double Puc cafe at the base of the Eye Apartment building. The postcode for the eye is BS2 0DW.
If you are visiting us by car, the closest car park is at Gardner Haskins on Unity Street.
